Our Mission
Our mission is to connect every person to a brighter future
by helping people meet personal goals through the effective use
of technology.
Our History
The Racers Net began in 1992 as a grassroots volunteer effort
by Local computer users in our communities to wire together computers
across the nation for free computer access.
The organization, headquartered in Tahoe Vista, CA, was founded
by Robert Holmes of Tahoe Vista and Kip Gies of Kings beach from
The Dog House BBS. The first National internet connection of this
group was on March 9, 1994 in the Racers Net servers, where an estimated
50 members were the first in the area to connect onto the Internet.
Since then, The Racers Net has expanded to 3 domains and countless
members in many countries across the world.

The Racers Net is a non-profit Group based in Tahoe Vista,
California, USA. The Racers Net Offers FREE Guided tours
for snowmobile and
Dirt Bike (motorcycle) riders in the Lake Tahoe Area backcountry.
Your group can be any size as we can offer several guides and
members can have many different riding abilities for the
chosen terrain to Ride on that day. You must supply your own ride
and Gear of course. All we ask is you use our name in your news
letters, or maybe a free hat? :)
