Message: The extreme build televised 7-20 stated teh electronics were all mounted in the cab to protect them. Good idea. They also plugged the heavy duty battery box (sponsor dollars) to contain hebattery and protect the driver from acid spills in case of rollover. Problem is, an Optima battery is being used. The Optima is a sealed gel battery and CANNOT spill. Each cell is seperated from the others for vibration resistance adn prevent shorting. The battery CAN be mounted on it's side or even upside daown. The box would be needed with a conventional battery, but not with the Optima. Replies to this post No replies yet |
